BFA in Fashion Design

BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN FASHION DESIGN AT CCAD

Columbus is home to the third-highest concentration of fashion designers (behind only New York and Los Angeles), putting our Fashion Design students in the heart of a thriving industry.

Our program works closely with some of the largest and most creative fashion brands in the world as you learn to design real clothing for real people. And it all leads to our annual fashion show, a juried runway show that provides our Fashion Design seniors with the opportunity to design a collection and debut it in front of a crowd of hundreds, including industry professionals and tastemakers.

Beyond aesthetics, our Fashion Design program also provides students with a rich and deep understanding of the business of fashion, so that you can successfully create designs that have purpose and that customers want. And our designers have gone on to launch successful careers in leading fashion companies, both in the US and abroad. Many have also gone on to start their own successful fashion lines, too.

Fashion Design Careers

Fashion Design majors often end up with one of the following roles after graduation:

  • Accessory Designer
  • Boutique Owner
  • Costume Designer
  • Fashion Designer
  • Pattern Designer
  • Print Designer
